No more wikipedia
UVM has said that students can not use Wikipedia as a cited source for papers. They're not banning it completely - because as we talked about in class, some of the wikipedia entries footnote credible sources, which you can seek out on your own and possibly use in your work.
Wikipedia should be used a source of information for college reports and termpapers. It is as credible as any other source; be it book or website.
Wikipedia is getting a bad rap as an unreliable source of accurate information. It is just the opposite. I dare a person not to find at least one typo, misspelling, inaccurate quote, or just wrong information in any college textbook. Just because it is published dosen't make it perfect and 100% accurate and truthful.
Anyway, that is why college and universities have professors to teach truth and point out blemish of facts and errors in written papers.
